CLUB SCENE | AMS Website Gets a Facelift

The Atlanta Miniature Society (AMS) has made its presence known physically in the Atlanta area and online at atlantaminis.org. They have been promoting miniatures since 1978, and they provide workshops and programs to stimulate interest both historical and creative. They also promote educational and charitable events, and they encourage new and creative artists. One of the highlights of the year for the Atlanta Miniature Society is their annual miniature show. In its 35th year, AMS will host their Annual Show & Sale on September 12-13, 2014 at a new location: Wyndham Atlanta Galleria.

For five years, Ruthanne & Richard Huff served as Annual Show Chairs, and they passed the torch to Margaret Jones, 2014 Show Chair and Linda Backelant, 2014 Show Co-Chair. Riding off of the renewed energy generated by last year’s Atlanta Journal-Constitution newspaper article and increased show attendance, AMS has launched a new website to accomplish its mission, improve member communication, and attract new interest in miniatures.

Site features include:

  • Join the Club online
  • Direct link to pay N.A.M.E. dues online
  • Members only access to member directory, monthly projects, Constitution & By-Laws
  • Expanded Project Center access for the Annual Show Committee so they can manage show details each year
  • Upcoming Events with Google maps directions
  • Photo Galleries
